Council to catch up with Thallon and Mungindi on 1 March
Residents and community groups in Thallon and Mungindi will have the chance to catch up with Councillors and key Council staff next month at the third of the Community Catch-up Days.
Balonne Shire Mayor Richard Marsh said the meeting was an opportunity for residents and organisations to meet with Council and discuss any issues in the Thallon and Mungindi communities.
“We’ve had two Community Catch-Up Days so far – one with Bollon and the other with Dirranbandi and Hebel communities - and they have been very successful,” he said.
“It’s a great opportunity for people or groups to bring their ideas to the table for consideration by Council and it also provides feedback to us on our activities.
“The aim of these Community Catch-Up Days is to build close ties with our communities and work together on projects for our region.
“I strongly encourage residents or groups to come alone and help us plan your community.”
The informal meeting will be held at the Thallon Town Hall at 10am on Thursday 1 March.
Residents and groups are invited to send agenda items to mareea.lochel@balonne.qld.gov.au by 5pm Friday 16 February. A full agenda will be distributed to those attending at a later date.
The final Community Catch-Up Day for this financial year will be held in St George on Thursday 7 June at the St George Cultural Centre.
