Receiving community feedback is an important part of our decision-making process at Council. This page lists all of the current and recent avenues for community feedback, which is just one of the many ways that Council receives input from our local community.

  • What is the best of Balonne?

    Council is developing a Regional Lifestyle promotion and was seeking input from our local community.

    Our Regional Lifestyle promotion will feature the very best our Shire has to offer and showcase everything that makes our Shire a great place to visit, to live in, to move to and to set up a business in.

  • St George Sustainable General Practice

    Local Health parties South West Hospital and Health Services, Western Queensland Primary Health Network, the St George Medical Centre, along with the Balonne Shire Council have come together to explore and identify possible options for a sustainable GP service in St George.

  • Multiculture in Balonne

    The Balonne Shire Council were working on a project to ensure that our Shire maintains is status as a welcoming region to all and was seeking community input to help guide it.

  • Balonne Disaster Management Survey

    We are calling for community feedback on how we can further improve Disaster Management via an online survey.

  • Rowden Park Master Plan

    Balonne Shire Council was seeking community feedback on the proposed options for the Rowden Park Master Plan via an online survey.

  • St George Cemetery Expansion

    With the St George Cemetery nearing capacity, Council collected community feedback on the proposed expansion of the existing cemetery with a new Draft Master Plan

  • Balonne Workforce Survey

    Balonne Shire Council undertook a Workforce Development Survey for employers. The aim of this survey was to gauge the needs of local businesses, so that we can support Balonne’s employers and assist them to achieve the most from their business.

  • Australia Day

    Council recognises that our wonderful shire is built by amazing people who are deserving of recognition for their contributions.
    Australia Day awards are presented annually on Australia Day to local citizens and groups who have made outstanding contributions to their community.

  • Proposed Amendments to Balonne Planning Scheme 2019

    Council was seeking community feedback from 4 September to 3 October on Proposed Amendments to the Balonne Planning Scheme. Thank you to everyone who participated in this consultation.

  • St George Water Supply Scheme

    Beardmore Dam Minimum Operating Volume Reconciliations - Sunwater, Mallawa Irrigation and Balonne Shire Council were canvassing the views of water allocation holders and interested stakeholders about potential changes to reconciliation rules.
