PROJECT UPDATE - ST GEORGE CBD BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT
Balonne Shire Council is currently undertaking CBD beautification works to upgrade the CBD area in Victoria Street (between Grey Street and Henry Street), St George.
Potential impacts for this week will include:
- Anticipated parking impacts on the southern side of Victoria Street as outlined above;
- Southern side kerb replacement and commencement of footpath works;
- Potable water outage for businesses in Henry St from 3pm on Wednesday 19th of April 2023;
- Victoria St single lane closure on Wednesday the 19th of April with heavy vehicle redirection via the Buchan bypass.
These are indicative timelines and may need to change due to any unforeseen issues that may arise.
