This is an update from the Local Disaster Management Group (LDMG) for the Balonne Shire that is currently at a status of Lean Forward.
Bollon residents are asked to stay informed and monitor conditions.
BOLLON
The temporary flood Levee to the east of Bollon is set to be removed Monday morning 27 November 2023 provided water has receded to a safe level to re-open the causeway.
Travellers heading from Bollon into St George proceed with caution. Water over road and/or road damage at 75km west of St George near Secret Plains – affecting one lane.
Travellers heading west to Cunnamulla are warned not to proceed as significant water still over the road at Mungallala Creek and Paterson’s Crossing.
ROAD UPDATES
• Balonne Highway – expected to re-open Monday morning 27/11/2023
• Balonne Highway – remains closed west towards Cunnamulla
• Moonie Highway – re-opened at Claude Bowhay Bridge • Carnarvon Highway – between St George and Nindigully closed with water over road between Nindigully and Thallon that may result in road closing without notice
